The coating mechanism of the roll coater is also called the coating head, which is composed of a winding roll, a coating roll, and a coating pan. This method of construction is often referred to as the twin roll type. The working principle of the coating mechanism of the roll coater is that the take-up roller picks up the paint from the paint pan and delivers the paint to the applicator roller, which applies the paint on the surface of the roller. Each roll is equipped with an adjustment device that is able to adjust the gap and pressure between the rolls to achieve the desired coating amount. Roll coaters with high production speed often have two coating heads, two coating heads on the front of the web, and two coating heads are used to quickly change the coating and applicator rolls.
1. The front end of the roll coater is heavily painted. Solution: It may be caused by the slow coating wheel of the roll coater, and the speed of the coating wheel can be adjusted appropriately. It may be caused by too fast conveying speed, and the conveying speed can be slowed down.
2. The back end of the roll coater plate is stacked. Solution: It may be caused by the excessive rotation speed of the coating wheel of the roll coater, and the rotation speed of some coating wheels can be adjusted appropriately to check the effect; it may be caused by the transmission speed being too fast, and the transmission speed can be slowed down.
3. The surface coating of the sheet coater looks very uneven. Solution: The surface of the roll coater is uneven, the water content of the plate can be adjusted, or the plate can be replaced. There is too little paint between the steel bar of the roll coater and the glue roller, that is, too little oil in the oil pump, and the oil pump cannot be turned on. There is a problem between the steel bar of the roll coater and the coating roller, and the gap can be adjusted.
4. The motor of the roll coater cannot rotate normally. Solution: Check whether the start switch is turned on; check whether the contactor in the control box is damaged; check whether the inverter is working normally.
