Learn About UV LED Curing Equipment

1. Understand UV LED curing equipment

As the curing light source of UV LED curing equipment ink, it has the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection and high efficiency. As a new type of printing curing light source system, UV LED curing equipment has irreplaceable advantages, but we can properly adjust the printing process to avoid shortcomings and expand advantages.

2. The characteristics of UV LED curing equipment

First, the printing plate is designed and produced, and the output format is determined according to the working order of the UV printing design draft, such as scanning or scanning the surface of the film, output line number, line angle, etc. Secondly, the adhesion of the ink is very poor, because the permeability of the plastic plate or the bottom plate of the gold and silver card is poor, and the adsorption force of the ink is weak, so even if it is printed with UV ink, the adhesion of the ink is also very poor, and the printing quality is not high. This can be achieved by overlaying the material.

Curing degree of UV LED curing equipment In order to improve the color saturation of the ink, when UV is printed on the surface of the plastic substrate, the printing pressure is high, the thickness of the ink layer is large, and the dots increase, which makes the ink difficult to cure. In order to ensure the printing quality, the printing pressure cannot be adjusted too much. The solution is to moderate the printing speed and prolong the varnishing time appropriately to make the ink fully cured; the second is to adjust the distance between the UV LED curing equipment and the substrate to increase the strength of UV curing and ink curing.

When the ink layer is thick, it is difficult to achieve the desired reproduction effect. For example, with four-color overprinting, the usual order of printing colors is black, green, magenta, and yellow. Because black takes up nearly all the space, green, magenta, and yellow have lower ink intensities, and lack of total ink can result in colors that aren't full. You can change the color order. First, color is printed with a small amount of ink, and finally black is printed with a large amount of ink. In this way, the volume of the ink can be maximized and the color can be fuller.

UV offset printing uses traditional UV mercury lamps for ink curing. The main problem with curing is the thermal expansion of the substrate, which does not allow overprinting. This is inconsistent with UV ink curing, which requires longer UV lamp exposure times for ink curing and shorter UV lamp exposure times for printing rails. The UV light source is a narrow-band high-energy curing system. Ink drying can be done in a short time. Second, UV LED curing equipment does not contain infrared rays and generates less heat. The printing process is fast and the substrate does not experience thermal expansion. UV curing machines use UV light leds instead of traditional mercury lamps in the offset printing process.
